The French Way: A Journey Completed
My first pilgrimage took me along the legendary French route, an 800-kilometer path from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the French Pyrenees to the sacred city of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. This journey opened my eyes to God’s physical, human, and spiritual beauty.
The Portuguese Way: New Adventure
In 2025, I’ll embrace the Portuguese Camino. 265 kilometers from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, this route promises its own unique beauty and spiritual experiences. But my journey won’t end in Santiago.
To the End of the World
Following the traditional path of pilgrims since St James the Apostle, I’ll continue westward to Fisterra, known as the “End of the World” in the first Century. This additional 91-kilometer trek leads to a place where ancient pilgrims gathered scallop shells—symbols of the Camino. From there, my path turns northward for a final 31-kilometer journey to Muxía, a mystical fishing town along the Costa da Morte, where sacred shores whisper tales of devotion and divine connection.
A Journey of the Holy Spirit
While my Portuguese Camino will cover 400 kilometers, my pilgrimage calls to:
- Deepen my spiritual understanding through quiet contemplation and prayer
- Witness the divine’s handiwork in nature’s endless beauty
- Open my heart to new revelations of sacred love
- Continue my journey of learning and self-discovery
As I prepare for this new chapter, I embrace the pilgrim’s spirit with open arms. Carpe Diem—seize the day—for every step on the Camino is a step closer to understanding, gratitude, and divine connection.
